Chennai: Police on Tuesday captured the history due to creating a commotion and threatening a police officer at the Abiramapuram police station.
An officer said the ‘Pitchai’ of Karthik from Abiramapuram broke into the station on Monday and threatened Dinesh Constable, who did the task of reception and para-sentry, with a knife.
Rowdy warned that he would kill him when he came out of the station and also threatened to eliminate him if he came to his area.
The threat was seasoned with harassment and videos from all incidents to be viral on WhatsApp.
Other police at the location tried to calm Karthik and the defendant told the officers that he knew many police attached to the station and they were like you for him.
He then managed to escape from the station.
Karthik was finally nabbed from the hiding place in Abiramapuram.
He was also arrested based on a complaint of a woman named Ammu who accused him of entering without permission in his house and ransacked his belongings.
Karthik was produced before the judge and sent to prison on Tuesday.
Ketthik is known to often hide the knife in his mouth and threaten the people with it parting with their valuables.
He even tried to hurt him when the police team tried to catch him.
