Chennai: Greater Chennai Corporation Commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi has shown a portfolio of five Chief Engineers from the Civic body.
N Mastoran, which is a solid waste management chief engineer, will now be responsible for the mechanical department, too.
L Nandakumar, Head of Engineer (General), will be responsible for disposal of storm water and disaster management, general engineering coordination, Singara Chennai 2.0, all government announcements and the Trust Restoration Restoration of Chennai (CRRT).
S Rajendran, Chief Engineer (bridge), will be responsible for bridges, bus routes and interior roads and special projects and smart city schemes.
S Kalimuthu, head engineer (park), will be responsible for buildings, parks and playfields, cemetery, toilets and quality control departments.
P Duraisamy, Chief Engineer (Planning), will take care of electricity, IT cells, GISs, Command and integrated control centers and city planning.
