Chennai: The Greater Chennai Corporation accommodates 81 people at the Help Center until 2 noon on Sunday and distributes 50,400 food packages in affected areas.
About 30 people on Jalan Tuthiappan in the Parry area were transferred to the GCC community center at St Xavier Street.
Six people at Muhabur shifted to a higher secondary school company in layers, 30 people from the rice area were shifted to NST Peel on Jalan MTH and 20 from Indira Nagar diverted to Indira Nagar CPS at Adyar.
They were all provided with food and water, said a corporate official.
Civic’s body attended a complaint of water stagnation.
Of 41 in the morning, complaints received increased to 157.
