Chennai: A 21-year-old rowdy, who was involved in two murders and several cases of murder attempts, was arrested under the Pocso Law in Kasimedu on Monday to abuse sexually and impregnated a little girl from Madurai.
The girl, now 17, five months pregnant.
The police said the defendant, Lokesh, from Kasimedu, had been friends with the little girl three years ago when he paused in Madurai during a pilgrimage to Sabarimala.
“He had taken his cellphone number and continued to chat with him by telephone.
He took him from Madurai to his house five months ago and lived with him at his home,” said a police officer.
Based on complaints from neighbors, officials of the Child Welfare Committee and police personnel confirmed that Lokesh was in a direct relationship with an underage child and his mother Geeetha was a hand.
CWC officials saved the girl and claimed to go to the orphanage house.
Lokesh was arrested under the Pocso Law.
His mother was also arrested.
