Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government will establish advanced multi-specialties and research centers in Nandanam in Chennai for pets at a cost of 7.99 crore.
It will also document the original breed of the dog, Minister of Fisheries – Fisheritives Welfare and Animal Husbandry Anitha R Radhakrishnan told the State Assembly on Saturday.
The government will also establish a decorative fish trade center in Colathur in Chennai.
It will appear at Rs 50 Crore.
The trade center will be determined by contributions from the government and private players, the Minister said during the debate demand for the grant for the department.
The minister said nearly 2,000 families were doing fish ornament business in Colathur.
The coming facilities will further expand support to the people involved in trade.
It will support them on a large scale in export and logistics, the Minister said.
