Chennai: Traffic Chaos Back, Norma Covid Flouted

Chennai: The city was busy with activities on Monday in a welcome sign, but it was with the cost of the Covid-19 protocol.
Whereas compliance with bad rules in places of worship, it is better at a commercial place and thin protection in malls, museums and public transportation.
There was a traffic growl in many places because of hundreds of people about the road, but many on two-wheeled vehicles or those who walked were found without masks.
In the commercial center of T Nagar, where retail clothing stores and jewelry stores are reopened, even interior roads are jammed with vehicle vehicles that move slowly.
It took at least 10 minutes to cross the stretch between the Saidapet and Teynampet bridges in the morning, with rain aggravating the problem.
The worshipers at Kalpaleeswarar Temple, Mylapore on Mondayvere Main Road, Nanganallur Main Road and other arterial roads on the southern suburb handle more traffic than usual.
“When the office has been reopened, there has been an increase in traffic,” said a police officer in Velachery.
Business owners are worried because footsteps remain low, with many who say they must maintain recurring costs such as salaries and maintenance for at least one month to regain customers.
Malls threw their doors after about two months, but had very few customers.
“I visited the mall to shop for my brother’s wedding.
There aren’t many many people.
Maybe, it’s because multiplex is not allowed to operate,” Velachery Resident L Prabhu said.
Of the 365 Transport Transport Bus Services 365 which was operated from Chennai to 26 other districts, Twotirds departed from the Terminus Bus Chennai Mofussil in Koyambedu where all were targeted thermal screening and entries were banned for those who did not have a mask.
There is no thermal examination carried out and the sanitiser is not available at the Kapeleswarar MYLAPORE temple, while there is a slight social blasphemy at the Swamy Parthasarathy Temple in Triplicane.
While the popular Marina Beach is not crowded in the morning due to rain, government museums at the Egmore monument and heritage in Mamallapuram also have poor protection.
