Chennai: What protocol? People’s crowds

Chennai: Normalcy almost returned to the city, with most facilities operating on Monday, except for bars, cinemas and educational institutions.
The restaurant reopens the dinner service after a break of almost 70 days with lots in commercial nerve centers like Pondy Bazaar packed with customers.
Some companies throughout the city, however, are waiting for their regular customers and record few footsteps.
Traffic moves at a slut speed at the main intersection and on the arterial road which shows that life has returned to the level seen in February.
Violations such as driving opposite directions were recorded in places like T Nagar and Vadadaani in the midst of heavy traffic and law enforcement officers had difficulty.
While the business increases, standard operating procedures (SOPs) are violated in several places.
Two restaurants in Pondy Bazaar are seen working with 100% seating capacity, ignoring rules that allow only 50% of residence.
People waited outside the company to occupy chairs like on the first day when the dinquare service was opened.
Sanisizers, thermal playback and registry to record customer names remain unemployed in the afternoon, after the owner obeys the relevant rules in the morning.
It’s not just a social distance, some individuals even move without wearing masks.
Among those who did it, some had it around the chin as a kind of fashion statement.
This situation is better at malls that have recorded leaps with footsteps since the last week, although the closing of the cinema has kept most of the customers from the facility.
Vishwanath, a shop employee at Pondy Bazzar, visited a restaurant in the area and was surprised by the crowd that appeared.
“We had to wait five minutes for our turn at the restaurant.
The crowd consists mostly of those who come for a wedding purchase and have decided to have lunch at lunch,” he said.
The restaurant has tables that are close to each other without maintaining six feet between every two tables.
Almost all restaurants are small and they are in the mall noting bad patronage.
“We only have 10% of our usual visitors for dinner services,” said restaurant representatives in the mall in Vadaplani.
