Chennai: wind from the north can restore NIP in the air

Chennai: Cold winds from the north can restore the weather conditions to the city and suburbs with temperatures that tend to fall for the next three days.
N Puvarasan, Director, Cyclone Area Commemoration Center, IMD, said that while the minimum temperature along the coastal area could drop a degree, it would likely reduce further in interior districts.
While Mercury can rise back at night towards the end of the week, meteorologists say there is a chance of rainfall in the coastal area early next week, because the direction of the wind tends to change to warm southeast wind from the sea.
For the next 48 hours, the IMD has an estimate of the temperature is around a maximum of 30 ° C and a minimum of 23 ° C in the city and the surrounding area with the sky may be partly cloudy.
On Monday, Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam recorded 23.1 ° C and a minimum temperature of 22 ° C which was 1.6 ° C and 1 ° C above normal.
But they can fall in the next two or three days.
“This may only be a marginal decline in temperature but there are also fog opportunities or fog because of the warm east wind convergence and cold winds to the cold,” said Mahesh Palawat, Meteorology Head, Weather Skymet.
After two or three days, the direction of the wind can bring rain back into the city.
Experts say Western disorders or low pressure areas that move from the west above India can bring rain to many places in North India.
It can change the direction of the wind above TN from northeast to southeast which leads to a minimum temperature rise and some wet spells also because of the opposite wind convergence.
