Chennai: Women kill 2 children, self in Thiruninravur

Chennai: A woman killed her two children and hung her at their residence in Tirunindravur on Sunday morning after fighting with her husband with alcohol addiction.
He also misused it.
The police said Gowri, from Dileepan Nagar, married Ramesh, a home painter, four years ago.
They have daughter DeeShitha, 3, and an 18-month-old son of Ashwin.
“The couple often struggled because Ramesh spent a little he got on the Booze and came home drunk every day.
He doesn’t provide for families, children must often leave without adequate food and Gowri must try and meet the needs,” said a police officer.
Ramesh also continued to ask for Gowri’s money to buy liquor, police said.
On Sunday morning, the couple fought again because Ramesh demanded money to buy liquor.
“Gowri refused to give him money.
He slapped him and left home after asking him to commit suicide,” said an investigative officer.
Gowri hung her children from the ceiling using sari and then hung herself.
A neighbor who came to play with children finding a locked house.
When a repeated knock is not answered, the neighbor peeked through the window and found three hanging.
He broke the door, lowered the body and told the police.
They rushed to the nearest private hospital where the doctor stated the three of them were taken dead.
The bodies were sent to the Kilpau Medical College Hospital for Postmortem.
Tirunindravur police have registered cases and questions RDO has begun since the woman committed suicide in seven years of marriage.
Further investigation by the police also lit up.
The police said Gowri did not leave any suicide notes but on many occasions claimed to have suicide thoughts to neighbors, which in turn rebuked Ramesh.
