Chennai: Women who try to order food lost Rs 44,000

Chennai: A woman who tries to get a refund for an order canceled 240 which is placed through a food delivery application shouted 44,000 by fake customer service staff.
According to police, victims, Kruthika, 23, from Vadaplani who worked at the Salon-Cum-Parlor recently bought a credit card from Bank State of Mauritius.
On Sunday, he used a card for the first time and paid 240 to order food online.
Because payment is jammed, he rotates the customer service number.
Because there was no response he went Google for an alternative contact number and found one.
When he turned the number, the person at the other end made him share a number of OTPs to process his request.
Immediately, Kruthika found 44,000 had been deducted.
Based on the complaint submitted by Kruthika, Police Vadadaani has registered a case and further investigation.
