Raipur: Chief of Chief of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel on Friday distributing checks to the family of media personnel who died of Covid-19.
Speaking on that occasion, Baghel paid a condolences to their families.
“The work done by the media brotherhood during a pandemic will act as an example to inspire future generations,” he said.
“Our government always stands with media people and takes various initiatives to help them.
Financial assistance More than Rs 90 lakh will be given to family journalists who surrendered to Covid and today we have distributed checks as a form of tokens,” Baghel added.
He further said that under the scheme of ‘Patrakar Kalyan Kosh’, our government has increased financial assistance provided for the treatment of journalists from Rs 50,000 to RS 2 Lakh.
For senior state journalists, under the scheme of ‘senior journalist Samman Nidhi,’ monthly pension has increased from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 and also reduces the age of 62 years to 60 years to take advantage of this scheme.
