Varanasi: While the threat of Covid-19 maintain a worrying trend in the district with 28 new Covid-19 positive cases on Monday, teenagers showed a massive enthusiasm in getting their Jab with the start of Covid-19 vaccination for 15+ children.
The daily night bulletin of the Chief Medical Officer stated that 4,357 lab test reports were accepted where 28 people were confirmed as positive for Coronavirus infection.
With new case detection, the number of active cases in the district has reached 86.
The cumulative number of the total Covid-19 case reached up to 82,496 of which 81,637 had recovered.
CMO Dr.
Sandeep Chaudhary said, 529 centers were established in the district for Covid-19 vaccination where 78 centers have begun vaccinated for children over 15 years in the district on Monday.
Although separate queues were created for children 15 to 18 years, they were dominant in all meetings of vaccine seekers in all 78 centers, CMO said.
Given the increase in the size of the queue for vaccines in many centers such as Pandeypur, Sigra, PHC and CHC from Kashi Vidyapeth, Cholapur, Rohaniya, Badagaon and others, the police are referred to as precautions, he added.
