Coimbatore: Nadu Tamil State Commission for the protection of children’s rights will conduct an investigation into the suicide of a woman XII, who hung her at her home on November 11 after she was sexually harassed by her fisher teacher.
The Commission has summoned an investigative official case, the victim’s parents, his friends and school correspondents appeared in front of four members at the district collector’s office here on Thursday for an investigation which will begin at 10 am.
The question panel will consist of the Chairman of the Saraswathi Commission and Member V Ramaraj, M Mallikai and singing with Jayakumar.Ramaraj said they had taken Suo Moto to know the incident and decided to conduct an investigation.
The Commission has the right to investigate problems involving children under the Children’s Rights Protection Commission, 2005.
The Commission also has the power to oversee cases related to the protection of children from sexual violations (Pocso).
“This is the duty of the commission to oversee this case and ensure that all of which are accused of being arrested and punished by the court,” he said.
