Chilkur Temple Staff Gets Covid Vaccination

Hyderabad: Popular Temple in Telangana, more than 50 people including priests and Chilkur Balaji Temple staff, about 30 kilometers from the city of Hyderabad, taking a covid vaccine dose, on Thursday.
An NGO and private hospital, together hold this vaccine camp in Gaushala from the temple.
This is the first temple in Telangana where all staff and priests and their families have taken vaccines, according to Pradhana Archaka from the Chilkur Temple, CS Rangarajan.
The temple and all religious places must act as a catalyst in promoting vaccination to meet the Telangana Government’s target in vaccination drive in this pandemic situation.
In fact, staff who work in temples and priests who perform rituals and offer ‘prasadam’ to worshipers, must be considered a ‘frontline’ worker on the police, health and civil body staff, said Rangarajan.
The drive starts at 9 am and continues until 1 noon.
