New Delhi: Chief of Staff Defense (CDS) Bipin Rawat on Thursday said controversy about China who came to the Indian region and built a new “incorrect” village, and that villages were on the Chinese side inside the Chinese line of actual control (LAC) .

In his recent report, the US Department of Defense said China built a large village within the disputed region between the autonomous Tibetan and Pradesh Arunachal India in the East Sector Lac.
Previously in the official reaction to the US report, the external affairs ministry said India also did not accept “illegal work in his area or Chinese claims that cannot be justified”.
In the weekly media direction on Thursday, MEA spokesman Arinindam Bagchi said, “China has conducted construction activities in recent years throughout the border region, including in areas that have been illegally occupied for decades.

Rawat also said Indian and Chinese forces have posts on the LAC side respectively.
“Wherever China has now developed their posts, we have seen several dilapidated old huts in the area,” he said.

Last month, India and China failed to make progress in completing the 18-month deadlock at the remaining friction point in East Ladakh during the 13th round of military talks between the two countries.
