New Delhi: Trying to overcome the limitations in its combat aircraft operations along the Actual Control Line (LAC) with India, China is developing an airbase for combat aircraft operations close to the East Ladakh area in Xinjiang Province.
“This base arises between Kashgar and Hogan airbases that have carried out warrior operations along the Indian border for a long time.
This new base for warrior surgery will fill the gap for the Chinese Air Force in this region,” the government’s source told Ani.
The city of Shakche already has an airbase and it is being upgraded for combat aircraft operations, they said.
Sources added that the base will be ready for combat aircraft operations in the near future and work has been accelerated on it.
The gap between the air base in China is close to LAC for combat aircraft operations is around 400 km but this will be bridged with the operationalization of the Shakche airfield.
Indian agents also maintain the closure of the airfield near the Uttarakhand border in Barahoti with China where Chinese leads a large number of unmanned air vehicles that continue to fly in the region.
Recently, the Chinese Air Force held a training in new summer inings near the Indian and Sorti regions carried out by them, especially from Hogan, Kashgar and Gar Gunsa Airfields.
Drill was watched carefully by the Indian side and India was in high readiness conditions during that period.
The Chinese Air Force has traditionally been weak in this LAC section with India that has a number of fields in a relatively short airfield along the LAC and has the advantage over the Chinese Air Force in terms of strike abilities.
The Chinese side has strengthened further air defense in the area with the spread of the S-400 air defense system which was imported from Russia even when India had mobilized a large number of systems to care for the Chinese fighter fleet, if it was needed.
The Indian side has also deployed a number of fighter planes in Leh and other advanced airbases that can occur in China and Pakistan simultaneously from the base on Ladakh.
The spread of Rafale fighter aircraft in Ambala Airbases and Hashimara and their operationalization has also provided encouragement for Indian readiness to Chinese people.
