China expands lockowns as a surge in viruses in the US, Europe

Beijing: China places hundreds of thousands of people under locking on Tuesday to try and stick to the deteriorating Koronavirus outbreak, because infections reach new highs in several US and European states.
The Covid surge has brought havoc throughout the world, with many countries in Europe and North America trying to achieve a balance between restrictions that punish economically and control the spread of the virus.
The United States divides two periods of isolation for asymptomatic cases to try and blunt interference, while France ordered the company to have employees working from home for at least three days a week.
Despite facing a much smaller outbreak compared to the global virus hotspot, China has not relaxed “zero covid” strategy, forcing orders to stay at home in many parts of Yan’an.
Hundreds of thousands of affected people there joined 13 million people in the city of Xi’an, who entered the sixth day of the house because China fought against the highest number of daily cases in 21 months.
“I will die of starvation,” wrote a resident of Xi’an on the Weibo platform like Twitter.
“There is no food, my housing compound won’t let me out, and I’ll run out of instant noodles …
please help!” Many people Xi’an both complain on social media about restrictions, which include driving prohibitions and only one household members are allowed to get out for food ingredients every three days.
This key is the most sweeping in China since a similar sized city of Wuhan was cut off from the world in the early days of pandemic.
The surge in many countries has been driven by the omicron virus variant which is very transplanting, hammering the sector of vulnerable to travel.
About 11,500 flights have been removed throughout the world since Friday, and tens of thousands are more delayed, during one of the busiest travel periods this year.
Some airlines blame the lack of staff caused by the nail of the Omicron case.
The waves in the United States have been driven by the Omicron variant, as well as large pockets of residents who are not vaccinated and lack of access to fast and easy testing.
President Joe Biden said Monday several US hospitals could be “flooded” but the country was generally well prepared.
He stressed that Omicron would have no equal impact with the initial Covid-19 outbreak or a surge in Delta variant this year.
“Omicron is a source of concern, but it should not be a source of panic,” said Biden.
In an effort to prevent mass labor shortages during surges, control centers and prevention of disease on Monday cut the isolation period for asymptomatic cases from 10 to five days.
The United States is the most difficult country hit by a pandemic, and approaches the highest every day 250,000 cases recorded last January.
The government throughout the world scrambles for increased vaccination, emphasizing that the majority of extraordinary hospitalization and Covid-19 deaths occur among those who are not vaccinated.
Many countries are also forced to restore unpopular and economically painful restrictions.
Germany will introduce new restrictions from Tuesday.
Private meetings will be limited to ten people who are vaccinated – two for people who are not vaccinated – and the nightclub will be closed.
All sports competitions will now be held behind closed doors.
“Something must be done to bring infection figures to fall,” Berlin residents told AFP TV.
Facing a high record infection, France stopped publishing orders to stay at home but asked entrepreneurs to make staff working from home three days a week if possible.
The new size, in place for at least three weeks, is one of the few who was announced after a crisis cabinet meeting in Omicron, who threatened to flood the hospital.
However, similar to the United States, Prime Minister Jean Castex said France would announce at the end of the week of reducing quarantine and isolation for Covid cases and their contacts.
Denmark and Iceland also reported diaries.
The new Covid wave has, once again, also causes chaos in the sports calendar.
The English Premier League announced that a record of 103 players and staff had been tested positive in the past week.
So far in December, 15 matches have been postponed.
