Beijing: China Fighting Against the largest Covid-19 outbreak caused by Delta variants that are very transmitted, with some areas limiting people from the northeastern city where infections are growing faster than anywhere else in this country.
A total of 1,308 infectious infections in the country with confirmed symptoms were reported in the mainland between October 17 and November 14, exceeding 1,280 local cases from the summer Delta outbreak, Reuters calculations based on official data.
This marks the most extensive Delta outbreak in China, which has affected 21 provinces, regions and cities.
This is smaller than many places in other countries but the authorities in China want to block transmissions under government zero-tolerance guidance.
A dozen provincial levels contain their flare-ups in a few weeks, thanks to the rapid implementation of a complex tracing set, including strict contact tracing, several rounds of testing people in the risk area, entertainment closure and entertainment restrictions on tourism and transportation general.
However, the northeastern city of Dalian was locked in a struggle with a virus, Wu Liaryou, an official at the National Health Commission, told Saturday’s news briefing.
Because the first local symptomatic patients from the latest outbreak were reported on November 4, 7.5 million people had detected an average of around 24 local cases a day, more than other Chinese cities, according to Reuters calculations.
Some cities near Dalian, including Dandong, Anshan and Shenyang, have said that the people who came from Dalian had to be quarantined in focused facilities for 14 days before they could move freely.
On November 14, Mainland China has reported 98,315 Coronavirus cases confirmed by symptoms, including domestic and infectious infections from abroad.
There are 4,636 deaths.
