Beijing: China on Thursday marked the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Tibetal autonomous region on the roof of the world, with a call to accept the rules of the Communist Party.
Beijing has ruled a remote western region since 1951, after his people’s liberation forces marched and took control of what he called “peaceful release”.
“Tibet can only develop and prosper under the leadership and party socialism,” Wang, who heads the national organization responsible for uniting all races and all parties under the leadership of the Communist Party, told the capital city, Lhasa.
