China Power Crunch: The ruling party leaders passed the historic XI resolution

Beijing: The leaders of the leading communist party wrapped up the main meeting in Beijing by providing important resolutions in the country’s past, said Media on Thursday, which is expected to strengthen the power of President XI Jinping.
XI, an undeniable leader from the most populous country in the world, has headed for an important plenary of the peak numbers of the party who came to power since Monday in the Chinese capital.
About 350 members of the central committee strongly passed the Chinese resolution on the “great achievement and historical experience of a hundred-year struggle” – only the third of its history in the history of 100 years.
The previous two resolutions were released under former Mao Zedong leader in 1945, and Deng Xiaoping in 1981.
The long declaration called for updating the “true view of the party’s history”, the official news agency Xinhua, added that the party had “the most writing Magnificent Epic in the history of the Chinese nation for thousands of years “.
“The Central Committee party calls throughout the party, all troops and people from all ethnic groups to unite closer around the party’s central committee with Comrade XI Jinping as the core, to fully apply the new era of XI Jinping with Chinese characteristics,” Xinhua reading was stated .
The plenary door closes this year’s the way for the next 20th autumn party congress, where XI is widely expected to be given the third term in the office, securing its position as the most powerful Chinese leader since Mao.
Analysts said the resolution would help XI support his grip on strength by regulating his vision for China and reducing the role of the previous leader.
“The thought of” XI “is the symbol of the Chinese culture and soul,” the text reads, saying that his presence in the “heart” of the ruling party “is a decisive interest …
to promote a large historic process of the Chinese nation’s renewal”.
Jean-Pierre Cabestan from the University of Baptist Hong Kong said the party was “rewriting his past to form the future around Xi Jinping.” He predicted that there would be a “larger taboo form” on the dark days of Chinese history as a result.
Ownership of XI has been marked by extensive anti-corruption cracks, repressive policies in areas such as Xinjiang, Tibet and Hong Kong, and an increasingly assertive approach to foreign relations.
He also created a cult leadership who had struck criticism, taming rivals and differences of opinion and introducing his own political theory – dubbed “Jinping XI” – to school students.
Broadcast News TV State TV said the XI resolution was “broad historical significance”.
It shows the XI record that handles delegates at the Hall of the Great Of The People near Tiananmen Square, in front of the Red Flag and Communist and Crescent Palu.
Such first resolution on the history of the party which was passed below Mao helped him strengthen his authority for the Communist Party, four years before it seized power.
Under Deng Xiaoping the second resolution sees a regime to adopt a fairly large economic reform and recognize the “error” of the Mao way.
In contrast to the 1981 declaration, the Thursday communique seems to direct the violence of the cultural revolution, a devastating upheaval in the last decade of the MAO government licked the country’s soul.
Instead it refers to the period as one of the “socialist and construction revolution”.
XI has recently monitored its own skills in many aspects of the Chinese people, including pop culture, education, business technology sector and rich tycoons.
The Chair of the Mao was mentioned seven times in the document, while DEN only five times.
In comparison, Xi Jingping – Who Xinhua this week “No doubt the core character in mapping the direction of history” – mentioned 17 times.
But some suggest the resolution may not be as far as XI may like.
“As we expected even though they haven’t used three words ‘lifetime leaders,’ they have devoted almost half of the communiques for XI Jinping’s achievements,” said Willy Lam, a political analyst based in Hong Kong.
“I think now it is widely accepted that he will remain a lifelong leader, but dropping three words or four words …
can arouse opposition.” Lam said Xi ruled for life after he made a change of constitution which swept in 2018 still “controversial problems in the party.”
