China should not see bond with India through a third country lens: Jaisankarkar

New Delhi: It is very important that China did not see its relationship with India through the third country lens, said the Minister of External Affairs J Jaishankar on Friday on the 21st Shanghai Cooperation (SCO) summit in Dushanbe.
Jaisankar and his partner China Wang Yi met on the sidelines of the Summit and discussed the process of releasing between the two countries along the actual control line (LAC).
Jaisankar further states that China and India must provide an example for Asian solidarity.
“It is emphasized that India does not subscribe to any civilization theory.
It is also important that China does not look at the relationship with India through the third state lens.
As for Asian solidarity, it is for China and India to set the example” Tweeted Jaisanhankar.
“Meeting FM China Wang Yi on the sidelines of SCO Summit in Dushanbe.
Discussing the release in our border area.
Underbining that progress in this matter is very important for recovery of peace and tranquility, which is the basis of the development of bilateral bonds,” he added Jaisanhankar.
Jaisankar noted that since their last meeting on July 14, the two parties had made progress in the resolution of the remaining problems along the LAC in East Ladakh and had completed release in the gorry area.
“But there are still some extraordinary problems that need to be resolved,” Read the release of the external ministry.
Jaisankar remembered that the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang in their last meeting noted that bilateral relations were at low receding.
Both parties have agreed that the extension of the existing situation is not the interest of both sides because it has an impact on relationships negatively.
Therefore, he stressed that both parties must work towards the initial resolution of the remaining problems along the LAC on the East Ladakh while fully obeying the agreement and bilateral protocol.
Jaishankar increasingly underlines that it is necessary to ensure progress in the resolution of the remaining problems to restore peace and tranquility along the LAC in East Ladakh noting that peace and calm in the border area have become the basis of progress in bilateral relations.
“In this case, the ministers agreed that military and diplomatic officials from both parties must meet again and continue their discussion to resolve the earliest remaining problems,” read the release.
The two ministers agreed to stay in touch.
