New Delhi: India tried to resolve military confrontation for 15 months with China in East Ladakh through dialogue, said Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday, even when he asked armed forces to handle every challenge.
“Active efforts to resolve differences through dialogue together with China in the actual control line in East Ladakh.
The release process has been successfully completed in several places,” said Singh, in his speech to the armed forces at night independence.
Turning to Pakistan, the Minister said the situation along the control line remained “controlled”, and infiltration had been examined, for the past year because of “vigilance, courage and vigilance of” Indians.
The border truce violation also fell after a fresh ceasefire with Pakistan in February this year.
If “non-violence is our main task”, protecting the integrity of the nation as important.
“We will always be ready to do anything in the country’s defense, whatever the price might be paid for it.
To maintain peace and prosperity, it is necessary that you must always be vigilant in the defense of the nation,” Singh said.
The government left “no stone missed” to meet the operational requirements of the armed forces.
Capital expenses in the annual defense budget have increased from Rs 1.13 Lakh Crore to Rs 1.35 lakh Crore, which is an increase of 18.75% from the previous financial year.
Citing an ongoing induction of 36 Rafale Fighter Jets from France and RS 46,000 Crore recently for 83 Tejas light combat aircraft, he said the “operational edge” and the ability of the IAF battle continued to increase.
