New Delhi: Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on Saturday blamed China for the current LAC situation, said Beijing violated the written agreement by gathering strength along the border and this was a legitimate concern for all international communities.
While confirming that the problem arose at a quad meeting on Friday, the minister also said criticism repeated by China would not make Quad less credible.
Jaisankar speaks after a bilateral meeting with his partner Australia Marise Payne who attended the 4th Foreign Minister meeting in Melbourne on Friday.
Beijing has slammed the meeting, describing Quad as a tool containing China.
Expressing support for maritime rule-based commands, Quad meetings have called for the expansion of cooperation to maintain indo-Pacific regions free from coercion.
