Beijing: China reported on Friday the lowest daily tally from the local Covid-19 case confirmed in almost two months, after a national strategy to quickly curb flare-ups forced the city-affected cities and reduce business activities.
China reported 23 domestic infectious infections with the confirmed symptoms for Thursday, official data showed, down from 43 the day before.
It marks the fourth consecutive day of the decline in local symptomatic cases, with the lowest daily case expenses since November 29.
The central province of Henan and the northern city of Tianjin, two areas that have detected most local Chinese cases in the last 10 days in 10 days, each reported less than 10 local confirmed infections for Thursday.
The capital, Beijing, reported five, slightly up from three days earlier.
The southern city of Zhuhai and Xian in Northwestern also reported several new local cases.
China reported for Thursday two acousptomatic cases that were transmitted domestically, which were classified separately from confirmed cases, in Southwestern Province Yunnan.
There was no new death, leaving the death toll at 4,636.
On January 20, mainland China has 105,484 confirmed symptomatic cases, including local ones and those who come from abroad.
