New Delhi: Engaged in delaying the military with India in Ladakh since last year, the Chinese Army has increased its activities throughout the Barahoti region in Uttarak along the actual control line there as alatone People’s Liberation Army seen operating recently.
“Recently a platoon (around 35 troops) from PLA was seen operating around the Barahoti area in Uttarakhand and surveyed the area around there.
The Chinese have been seen doing several activities around this area after a significant gap,” said Sumber Ani.
“Chinese troops are constantly monitored in the area as long as they live there,” they said.
These sources said India also made adequate arrangements in the area.
The source said security formation felt that Chinese could try several activities in this area but India’s operational readiness was high along the central sector.
Head of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawatawat and Head of the Central Army Lt Gen Y Dimri also visited the central sector limit with China in several times to review the situation and operational readiness there, they said.
Chinese activity at the air base near the Barahoti area also rose and a large number of drones had been deployed by them there, they said.
India has positioned additional troops in the central sector and many rear formations have gone there, said source.
The Indian Air Force has also activated several air bottles there including the Landing Landing Landing where AN-32 has often made landings.
The chinook elevator helicopter is also operational in the area and can transfer troops between valleys, whenever needed.
