Mumbai: The war all-out is brewing among the Union Narayan Rane’s Minister of BJP and Shiv Sena in the Sindhdurg district.
Less than one day after Rane announced in New Delhi that Chipi Airport would be officially inaugurated on October 9 and stated that “there is no need for the minister’s chairman present for the inauguration”, Minister of Industry, Subhash Desai held a press conference here and announced that the inauguration of the airport Will be held on October 9 and the minister’s chairman will be present on that occasion.
BJP once again distanced himself from Rane’s comments.
BJP Mla Ashish Shelar said: “The minister’s chairman must be given respect and he must be there for the inauguration.” The day before, Shiv Sena MP from Sindhdurg Vinayak Raut had tweeted, the airport will be inaugurated on October 9.
While Rane said Scindia would inaugurate the airport, Desai said both Thackeray and Scindia would be in the inauguration.
Rane said he would come along with Scindia to Mumbai and fly to Sindhdurg for his functions.
It will also be the first time Thackeray and Rane will be present in the same function after the last one was arrested because of the comment of “CM slap”.
Throughout his Jan Aashirwad campaign, Rane has focused his criticism completely in Thackeray.
While Rane said it through his efforts that the airport RS 520 Crore was developed, Desai said it was MIDC’s work.
