Church prohibits forced conversion: Bishop Saldanha

Mangaluru: Someone cannot be forced or interested in following the message of Jesus Christ, said Most Pastor Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore’s diocese on Thursday.
Participating in the Christmas Bandhutva celebration at his official residence in the coastal city, Bishop Saldanha said, “Freedom is the core of his teachings.
Miscetation of what the meaning will end up affecting many charitable initiatives that have been done legally, and this is a matter of some concerns.” He showed that, while Jesus was a contrary to several people, while he was rejected by others, many followed.
He voluntarily and with love.
“Jesus did not reject anyone who followed him,” Bishop said.
Quoting a part of the Bible, Bishop Saldanha said, “One can follow it (Jesus) only if he wants to follow him,” is what the Bible tells us.
The law set by the Catholic Church prohibits forced conversion or conversion by fraud.
Reports of forced conversion are exaggerated.
“Questioning the fixation with forced conversion in the context of anti-conversion bills, which was recently passed by the legislative assembly, he said that, the misunderstanding of church activities could hamper many activities to help.” Who is responsible for this preoccupation? “He asked.
