Chennai: The classic Central Institute of Tamil (CICT) plans to form four classic Tamil seats at leading universities in Southeast Asian countries which have a large population of Tamil and ancient cultural ties with Tamil Nadu during the next academic year (2022-23).
“A proposal has been sent to the Ministry of Education to build these chairs.
We are awaiting approval,” said R Chandrasekan, Director of CICT.
Chief Minister M K Stalin, who is the chairman for the KICT Board of Management, visited his new campus in Perumbakkam.
“CM asked us to get used to the research of the institute between school and campus students.
He also asked us to invite experts from other classic languages ​​such as Greece, Latin and Arabi to conduct a comparative study at our Institute,” Chandrasekan added.
The Institute has housing facilities for professors and researchers who visit the new campus.
Stalin also released eight new books including Ainkurunuru Kurinji, Ainkurunuru Palai, Tamil’s historical grammar.
