Nagpur: The State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), on the first day of the probe into the case of custodial death which was considered Manoj Thawkar at the Pardi police station, mostly focused on CCTV footage available from the incident.
He was taken to a private hospital but was declared dead.
After being handed over in the case of unintentional death from Manoj Thawkar – who experienced physical disability – a few days ago, officials cid examined documents and collected CCTV recordings on Friday.
Sleuth also spoke with police station personnel, including Senior Inspector Sunil Gangurde to collect evidence and documentary records.
Although Cid officials came to the police station and the place on Wednesday after the incident, was alerted by the Chief of Police (CP) Amitesh Kumar, they officially started an investigation now, after taking over the case of the city police on Thursday.
Senior Cid State Official was studied to scan CCTV recordings installed near the place in front of the Hanuman Temple in Pardi Naka, where the police tried to stop Thawkar in Nakabandi, but he tried to escape on his scooter.
Mukesh Dhoble Sub-Inspector from the Pardi Police Station was injured in the process to stop it.
Thawkar was then taken to the Pardi police station, where he fainted after a few hours.
Records of the police station studied have been collected by Cid countries.
CP told the media on Friday that he did not support a rough police but tried to ensure a legal explanation on criminals.
