Kolkata: Cid Bengal has called BJP politician and opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari in connection with the mysterious death of his security guard, the Chakraborty Subhabrata.
Adhikari was asked to appear at the Cid headquarters in Kolkata at 11 am on Monday.
This was the first time Adhikari was called in this case.
Cid has visited the police barracks a few meters from his residence several times in this case.
Adhikari can’t be contacted for comments.
The brother of politicians, Borne Adhikari, also a member of Parliament from Tamluk, has twice talked with sympathizers in the past.
The special CID anti-homicide team is investigating this case and has questioned more than a dozen people – including police personnel – in this case in the past three months.
There is an indication of Suvendu will be called after Cid insists everyone who is at the Chakraborty Hari Chakraborty Hospital dies will be questioned.
