Coimbatore: Chapter of the Industrial Industry Confederation (CII) has placed a task lawsuit to develop the electronic manufacturing sector in Coimbatore.
The task force has begun discussion with large multinational companies operating in the state and other places to attract investment and take expansion projects in Arjun Prakash, Chair, Chapter of CII Regency, saying while maintaining existing businesses, it is also important to explore business opportunities and prepare penetration point.
“Electronics are clearly an area for coimbatore, especially considering the new talent ponds that have formed in the district in this decade.
We have the potential to capture 30% -40% of state electronic manufacturing output, which is likely to be valued at $ 40 billion in 2025.” Other senior officials from CII said while this district was known for being casting, pumps, valves, textiles, jewelry and wet grinders, electronic parts not so high.
But this district has great potential in electronics, with its ability to engineering and precision manufacturing.
CII officials also urge industry players to take advantage of this space, which can provide direct work to more than 10,000 people and indirect jobs up to 40,000 to 60,000 people, while increasing the local consumer economy.
Indicates that health care is increasingly driven, Prashanth S, Deputy Chair, CII Regency, said the electronic industry planted in homes that focus on digital health can capture most markets.
Industrialists said CII positioned the district as an important goal to channel investment during meetings with state and central government authorities.
“It aims to understand the challenges in the field of electronic manufacturing and help industrial growth by developing road maps,” they said.
In its part, CII hopes to work for electronic clusters in the district.
