Jaipur: Single screen gem cinema is once again ready to welcome the audience on November 5, after still being closed for 16 years.
Starting on July 4, 1964, The Cinema Hall was closed when facing intense competition from the Multiplex cinema.
The Cinema Hall will feature Akshay Kumar-Starrer ‘Soororiavanshi’.
People in Jaipur and those who are in the cinema trade are happy with this announcement.
The state film distributor believes that if this single screen survives then it will open the way for others to restart the operation.
Cinema Permata was inaugurated by Minister of Mohal Mohal Lal Sukhadia and Congress leader Ramniwas Mirdha on July 3, 1964.
The next day was dedicated to the public.
However, in 2005 the cinema had stopped the operation.
“We haven’t changed anything and made everything in full.
I would say we have restored it.
We plan to start earlier, but the pandemic cancels our plan.
I hope people will have the same experience as they have before 2005 .
Since I said that we have received calls from many people who share their nostalgia, “said Sudhir Kasliwal, owner of Cinema Hall.
For two decades, from the 1970s to the 90s when films showed households, several actors such as Dharmendra and Shahrukh Khan had visited the hall.
Kasliwal has ensured that going to the film hall did not become a wasteful matter for the masses.
“Our tickets are priced between Rs 100 and Rs 200 for a circle of dresses, noble circles and boxes.
The aim is to make it affordable for every lover of cinema in the city.” Kasliwal commemorated, “I remember that during the time of ‘ivar’ we will get mass reservations for family and friends.
” Welcoming Announcements, Raj Bansal, Leading Film Distributor Rajasthan, said, “It was a good start.
I hope this will show another single screen to reopen.
The experience of watching movies in one screen hall with a capacity of more than 1,100 audients is always better Of course.
