Bengaluru: Chairman of the BS Minister Yediyurappa, under pressure due to increased speculation during his term, received more support from Mutts Lingayat on Wednesday.
Some pontist visited his official residence for the second day in a row, throwing their weight behind him.
The delegation was around 40 perams, led by Siddalinga Swamiji from Siddagaga Mutt, Seminary Lingayat had an effect on Tumakuru, met Yediyurappa and urged BJP leadership to complete his ownership.
“Why (talk about leadership change) occurs when he works efficiently during the crisis? The desire of all Swamijis is that he must be the main minister for the full term.
Previously, he was not given a complete term,” Siddalinga Swamiji said.
The delegation tried to notify BJP: This was not the right time to turn the main minister when the rain was getting intensified and there was a third wave of Covid-19.
“If there is a change at these points, it is impossible for the government to provide stable administration and serve the people,” said Siddalinga Swamiji.
He rejected criticism that the forecasters pampered themselves in politics, saying that they had supported the main ministers of all parties every time there was a crisis.
Malikarjun Swamiji, Ponif Dharwad Muruga Mutt, said that the BJP government in Karnataka will fall if Yediyurappa is asked to step aside.
“He is not only the leader of Lingayats but also from other communities, and he has performed well as cm.
He is responsible for bringing BJP in power in Karnataka, opening the gate for parties in South India.
Changing him will expel Lingayats from the party,” he said.
Panditaradhya Shivacharya Swamiji from Sanehalli Taralabalu Mutt said that the BJP Central Leadership should provide more free Yediyurappa hands, which is important to run state administration efficiently.
Kompada Mutt Seer Dr.
Shanteavera Swamiji also supports Yediyurappa, but added that if BJP continued a succession plan, a veerashaiva-linglayat must be appointed as the new main minister.
On Tuesday, more than two dozen fortune tellers were led by Dingaleshwar Balehosur Mutt Swamiji met Yediyurappa, who reported told them that he had to obey the party’s decision.
More than 300 pontions are expected to gather in Bengaluru this week to discuss the next action.
Yediyurappa is known for providing regular government grants for mutt and religious institutions, thus gaining their beliefs, according to some political analysts.
During his first term as CM, he released Rs 50 Lakh to various mutt.
Congress, meanwhile, has distanced itself from the statement of the Senior Party Mlaas Shamanur Sheamarappa and MB Patil to support Yediyurappa.
The president of the State Congress Worker Saleem Ahmed said that the comments were their personal opinions, and not the attitude of the party.
Both patil and shivashankarappa show solidarity with Yediyurappa again on Wednesday.
