New Delhi: Circulation of fresh cyclones is likely to develop above the northern bay of Bengal on September 17 and bring heavy rainfall in East India, said the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) on Wednesday.
IMD said North and the middle India would likely witness intense rainfall activities until Thursday.
“Cyclone circulation (IS) is likely to develop over the northern bay of Bengal on September 17.
It is most likely to move to the northwest to Bengal Odisha-West Beach for the following three days,” said IMD.
“Rainfall activities are likely to increase more than Odisha and West Gangetic Bengal with a broad and isolated rainfall falling over the above regions on September 18-19,” he added.
Earlier this week, depth depression brought heavy rainfall over Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
The IMD added that the intense rainfall spells would likely over Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan and Gujarat until September 16 and declined afterwards.
It adds that spread until spacious rainfall is very possible in northwestern India (not including Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh) for September 15-17.
Insulated heavy rain is likely to end Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh on September 15, over Haryana on September 16, above the West Rajasthan on September 17-18.
Very heavy waterfall isolated is also very possible top Uttarakhand and Western Pradesh Uttar on September 16.
