Ahmedabad: A Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation citizen charter that has never been applied in the Spirit has added to Amdavadi’s misery.
Charter, which is listed by services provided by the civil body and deadlines to solve the problem, still on paper or more precisely, on the website along with the help channel number that does not work.
In accordance with the notification of the State Government, Charter, Gujarat Law (Public Citizens’ Rights), 2013, is intended to present accountability in providing Civic services.
The action requires any public authority to publish individual names and addresses responsible for providing services notified within two months after notification.
Five years later, AMC has not provided detailed records of the shipping commitment of its services.
The result is that citizenship officials do not have accountability which in turn leads to uncontrolled delays in completing work, think of the local population.
In the absence of transparency, someone finds a large number of civil complaints that are reopened or remain open outside the specified limits.
This causes complaints to accumulate in many zonal offices.
For example, from complaints from 3.09 lakh which was included until October 31 this year, 22,400 complaints in the central zone beyond the specified limit.
Luxury northwest zone has 11,000 complaints like that, the western zone has 19,000 complaints like that, while the West-West West Zone has 4,800 complaints.
Overall, there were 490 complaints opened outside the specified period, while 550 complaints were absent at all.
560 complaints were detained.
This problem was revealed in the RTI application submitted by the resident PANKAJ Bhatt Kalupur.
“Each government department must come out with a list of services bound in time within two months of the notification in 2016.
But this has not been done in accordance with the RTI answer given to me,” Bhatt said.
