Coimbatore: The city authorities have formed four unique teams to manage crimes like string snatching, burglary and bike thefts and yet another four groups to curtail the movement of prohibited tobacco goods and lottery tickets, spirits, and also ganja.There are 15 legislation & order police channels and as lots of identification wing police stations in town and they’re clubbed under four subdivisions — even Coimbatore fundamental, west, east and south.While the analysis wing authorities handle the instances under the Indian Penal Code for example murder, and murder for profit, vandalism and theft, etc.the law order authorities manage the instances under the Criminal Procedure Code, preserve law and order, and prevent offenses by patrolling the town and grab marijuana (ganja), spirits and prohibited lottery tickets, and etc.City police commissioner Deepak M Damor had arranged both the identification wing along with law & order authorities to form four specific groups every day to draw down the crime rate and motion of contrabands from town.
“The special teams have been focused on controlling illegal selling of alcohol, prohibited tobacco goods along with other chemical materials,” a police officer said.The Singanallur authorities, meanwhile, detained 25-year-old M Sumesh, also a resident of Sri Nagar in Irugur, using over 1kg bud close Ondipudur on Friday.
He had been remanded in judicial custody.
