Kanpur: Janmashtami, Birth of Lord Krishna, is celebrated with enthusiasm and joy of religion in the city.
When the city’s main temples were closed to the public, a good crowd of Krishna Bhakts gathered at the Iskcon temple where the birth of Lord Krishna was celebrated at midnight.
That night, which began with Krishna Bhajans, the song, and dance by Bhakts, reached its peak around midnight.
The worshipers watched the bath and decorations of gods and after it was greeted with each other and enjoyed the distribution of ‘Prasad’.
Other famous temples, JK temples are also closed to the public, showing light and laser performances with fountains that attract people.
Other city temples are also decorated and illuminated with colorful lights to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna.
The worshipers began to buy the items needed from Monday to decorate their home temples and to offer special prayers.
Many worshipers were observed quickly and breaking them after taking ‘Prasad’ Picamrit and Panjiri ‘at midnight.
They decorate their home temples with flowers and green leaves and colored wallpapers and offer prayers before God’s god Krishna.

Vendors who sell Lord Krishna’s idols, do fast business.
This year people missed the tableau which was once shown in various city temples on this occasion.
The function of Janmashtami was also celebrated on the reserve police line, in addition to other police officials, also attended by the Police Commissioner Asim Kumar Arun.
