Vadodara: Dr.
Shyam Bhanhankar Verma, a senior dermatologist from Vadodara City, has been appointed as Vice President of the International Society of Dermatology (ISD) for a period of four years.
ISD is a 62-year-old community registered in the US and has members of 86 countries.
This community activity includes a guidance program for younger members, community dermatology, providing education, holding regional regional meetings on all continents and running high-ranked scientific journals.
Dr.
Verma has held several important positions in the community for the past 12 years and also hold ISD regional meetings in New Delhi in 2018.
He has written 180 scientific articles and several dermatology book chapters.
Dr.
Verma is the only Vice President from India on the current ISD team.
