City: A 25-year-old man allegedly poured gasoline to him and burned himself outside his home in Srinathpuram under the RK Puram police station here on Friday night.
The man, who was identified as Vaishnav Pankaj, a resident of Srinathpuram, surrendered to burn injury during treatment at a hospital on Saturday morning.
Vaishnav, which is a daily wage and alcohol worker, will often be involved in fighting with his wife, said RK Puram Rajendra’s investigation.
The police said the fight between Vaishnav and his wife reportedly happened on Friday night after he arrived at the house of drunk.
He immediately left home just to arrive around 19:00 in clothes soaked with gasoline and burn himself, Rajendra added.
Pankaj rushed to hurry to the MBS Hospital, where he died to burn in Burn Ward about 3am on Saturday, he added.
