Nagpur: City Police have made preparations to test 16,000 police, many of which come from other district units, before the winter assembly starts at Nagpur.
About eight doctors and five nurses from police hospitals throughout the state have been requested by city police to strengthen the medical team at the hospital at the police headquarters.
District administration and Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) will also establish camps in different places, such as Vidhan Bhavan, Nag Bhavan and Ravi Bhavan to test the RT-PCR.
R Vimala District collector said most government employees were fully vaccinated, and personnel who came to the city for the assembly had also been told to be tested.
“Our team will be positioned in camps in different places where testing facilities will be available.
We will do the test as much as required,” said the collector.
Guidelines are immediately expected from the state government, he added.
Dr.
Deepak District Health Officer Shelokar said two government and AIIM hospitals would be available for isolation facilities.
“We are working on stockpiling our medicine and other medical resources.
If someone is infected, the care facility will be available,” he said.
City police also, under the supervision of the Police Chief (CP) Amitesh Kumar, with CP Aswati Dorje and DCP Sandeep Pakhale, trying to ensure that the hospital 16 of their beds at the headquarters in Takli were ready to handle emergencies.
