Thiruvananthapuram: Niharika Haridas, a BTECH student first year Vit Chennai who came from Poojapura, has pocketed awards at Intel Al Global Impact of the 2021 Festival in artificial intelligence.
He worked together with his team ‘Kishan Know’ consisting of three mechatronics students and Btech’s first year’s automation from Vit Chennai.
“We have high hopes and we are proud of this award.
It is an amazing moment for us to see Indian names on the screen.
Very happy to be part of this,” Niharika said.
This event was held from October 15 to 30 where the work was sent online.
The team must compete with a team of more than 20 countries.
The team represented by Niharika presented a solution for the microbial and pest outbreaks for precision agriculture.
The team was awarded as one of the three major winners at Intel Al Global Impact of the Festival in the ‘Al Creator of Impact; AL innovation project by the next generation ‘innovator.
The team was one of the 10 nominated teams representing India for a 15-day global event and was chosen as one of the global finalists.
The team was evaluated by Intel Expert Jury Panel.
Winners will receive 5,000 dollars as prize money, intel-powered laptops, guidance and internship with Intel.
Besides Niharika, the team consists of Rishikesh, Amit Nayak and Gideon Jacob Samuel.
