City got O2 Boost, a new plant to come in a civil hospital

Gurgaon: The city will form 1,000 liters per minute (LPM) (PSA) adsorption (PSA) oxygen generator in a civil hospital in sector 10.
This plans to make it function on August 10.
This is one of the 40 PSA factories allocated to Haryana by the central government under PM caring for funds.
The 1,000 LPM factory usually costs around Rs 40 Lakh to be set and become operational.
At present, this civil hospital sector is already in place.
There are also two 500 LPM factories in Sohna and Pataudi Government Hospital and 100 LPM factories in the Sector 31 Polyclinic.
During the covid second wave peak, city oxygen demand rose to 55 metric tons.
At present, it is at less than 20 metric tons.
Gurgaon Head Virender Medical Officer Yadav said that the installation of the PSA factory in health facilities will help avoid the disruption of oxygen supply, reducing dependence on LMO storage (liquid medical oxygen) and cylindrical supplies or tanks.
“We made a set-up of independent governments by respecting oxygen supply.
We have also asked private hospitals that have more than 50 sleep capacity to install the earliest PSA factory.
Bank oxygen that will have a type-D oxygen and cylinder concentrator for house isolation too will be made, “CMO said.
Of the 43 private hospitals who treated Covid patients in the city, 16 had established oxygen plants.
Meanwhile, Gurgaon was preparing inspections by three IAS officers appointed on Wednesday to take stock of oxygen plants in each district.
To prepare for a potential third wave, the state government has also directed the district to increase testing.
