City Harappan-Era Dholavira Written in the UNESCO World Heritage List

New Delhi: Dholavira, Metropolis Era Harappan, in Gujarat has been written on the list of UNESCO World Heritage, the organization said on Tuesday.
“Dholavira: Harappan City, in India, has just read on the @unesco #worldhernitage list.
Congratulations!” UNESCO tweeted.
The 44th session that was ongoing from the UNESCO World Heritage Committee had provided India new World Heritage Sites in the form of Rudresreswara / Ramappa temple in Telangana, which came from the 13th century.
Gujarat has so far owned three World Heritage Sites – Champaner near Pavagadh, Rani Ki Vav in Patan and Historic City Ahmedabad.
The World Heritage Committee session was chaired from Fuzhou in China and was detained online.
It began on July 16 and will end on July 31.
The 44 Ombines session currently works, and the problems left since last year, when the annual meeting was postponed because Covid-19.
“It gave a large command to share with fellow Indians that #Dholavira is now a 40th treasure in India to be given @ UNESCO World Heritage Inscription.
Other feathers are closed India when we are now entering the Super-40 heritage site inscription,” Minister of Culture G Kishan Reddy said in a tweet.
Today is a proud day for India, especially for Gujarat people, he said.
“Since 2014, India has added 10 new World Heritage Sites – a quarter of our total site.
This shows the commitment of SYEADFAST PM @ Arendramodi in promoting Indian culture, inheritance and the way of life of India,” Reddy Tweeted.
