The census will consist of 34 different parameters.

“All trees will get a unique identification number,” he said.
In the first census, Laxmi Nagar Zone has the highest number of trees at 6.08,634 followed by the Mangalwari zone at 4.58,209, and Dharampeth with 4.21 lakh trees.
The number of trees is at least calculated in the area under the Gandhibagh zone at 30,966.
During the 2022 tree census training, the Department of Gardens will also identify land banks throughout the city, especially in areas where more plantations are needed, said Chaurpagar.
The Garden Department has searched for details of NMC’s vacant land owned throughout the city from the land department.
Along with this, the standing panel also gave a nod to 10 other proposals.
However, it was seeking legal opinions about the revenue department proposal to resolve disputes with outdoor advertising agencies, said Chairman of the Standing Committee Prakash Bhoard.
