Udhagamandalam: The city market in Ooty and Coonor will be reopened to the public under the ABC system from Wednesday.
After the APEX body of all the associations of traders in the district held talks with a J innocent Divya collector, it was decided that the shops in the market would be opened based on rotation.
According to standard operating procedures, all store owners must be vaccinated, cleaners must be provided at the entrance of the store during business hours.
President Association of Nilgiri District Traders R Parameswaran said, “We have received nods from district collectors to open shops based on rotation in the city market in the district and so on.” However, textile and jewelry shops will not be reopened.
