City Police beat City City Chennai in submission of Chargesheets

Coimbatore: City Police have topped their colleagues in Chennai in submitting Chargesheets in cases of crime under the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) and Special and Local Law (SLL) in the percentage of Wise, according to data released by the Bureau Note National Crime (NCRB).
While the city police have registered 10,112 cases of crime under the IPC and submitted a Chargesheets at 96.6% of the case by 2020, Police Chennai City has registered 88,388 cases of crime under the IPC and submitted Chargesheets in just 81% of cases.
In most cases of crime under the IPC, said a city police official said the Chargesheet was submitted before the court within 60 days of arrest the defendant, while in the same murder case was submitted within 90 days accused.
In accordance with data, which was released on Tuesday, the city police have registered 13,932 cases under special and local laws last year and submitted a chargesheet in all cases.
It should be noted that city police are advised to submit a Chargesheets in the SLL case within 15 to 20 days of arresting the defendant.
NCRB has compiled data only for 19 metropolitan cities, which have a population of more than 20 lakhers per census of the 2011 population They have recorded 33,824 cases of crime under the IPC last year and submitted a chargesheets at 96.7% of them.
According to the 2011 census, City’s letter has a population of 45.8 lakh.
Coimbatore City Police, who submitted Chargesheets at 96.6% from 10,112 cases of crime, placed second on this front.
It should be noted that cases of crime under the IPC have increased dramatically in the city to 10,112 years ago from 2,567 in 2019 and 2,892 in 2018.
The city has a census population of 21.5 lakh per census in 2011.
Ahmedabad City Police in Gujarat has pocketed a place Third by submitting a chargesheets at 96.3% from 61,395 cases of IPC crime during the period.
Ahmedabad City has a population of 63.5 lakh per census in 2011.
However, the Indore City Police in Madhya Pradesh is in second place in the country in submitting a Chargesheets in the SLL case.
They have registered 6,446 cases like that in 2020 and submitted a chargesheets at 99.9% of them.
The third place was distributed by the Ahmedabad City Police, City Police Police, Delhi City Police and Kozhikode City Police, who submitted Chargesheets at 99.7% of the cases they had registered.
