City schools mark World Environment Day online

Noida: Schools in Noida on Wednesday came together online to celebrate World Environment Day.
Principals, students and teachers from various schools participated in exchanges on the need to conserve nature and build sustainable schools to help improve the ecosystem of the academic buildings.
“Schools should be the first place where children learn to conserve the elements and on this day we want to encourage all students to actively take charge of conservation of land, water and air,” said Preeti Sanghwan, principal of Cambridge School.
“This is the first such city-wide event after months of lockdown and online classes, meeting of minds and exchange of ideas is important,” she said.
The event was also attended by members of the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE).
