City will soon get a smart street light

Prayagraj: Immediately, 60,000 strange street lights Kota Sangam will turn on and turn off at the same time.
To change this idea into reality, the authority is ready to install the following group controller-based light that the lights will be turned on and turned off automatically at the same time.
As part of the Prayigraj smart city project, all street lights, installed on the main streets, dividers and by-lane locality different from the city, will be controlled by this smart sensor and their monitoring system will be connected to integrated command and Control Center (ICCCC ) At the Prayagraj Mela Authority office.
Important changes in the operation of these street lights for their smarter version will reduce the power of waste and authority will be able to store up to RS 5 annual expenditure crore.
In addition, the authorities will also be able to save electricity.
In accordance with this practice, street lights from different locations from the city are installed and maintained by Prayagraj Municipal Corporation (PMC) and local people are sent to lights switches at certain times at night and the same person switches in the morning.
However, even though someone’s post to operate this lamp, often some street lights can look activated even during the day in different locations.
However, after the new system applies, the lamp road from all cities will turn on and go out simultaneously.
There will be no switchmen to turn on the lights and at the same time, there will be no need to supervise the staff being sent to operate the street light.
“The proposed smart lighting system will reduce the cost of thousands of electricity units per day which if it does not work in vain when this lamp is not turned off during the day,” said a PMC senior engineer, related to the project.
This setting becomes made in such a way that soon After sunset, the street lights will switch and will go with the sunrise.
There will be a ‘control group’ unit is installed between a group of lights, which will decide on the burden of power consumption.
Authorities can feed a certain time to switch street lights and turn off the unit This control, all of which will be connected to the ICCCC.
Including electrical units consumed, errors if there are, loading etc.
will be centered monitored under this smart lighting system.
Now the electricity department installs meters at street lights, PMC must pay electricity bills for street lights And as a system like this it will also save money for PMC.
“The depar Tment has installed meters in almost all street lights under the Mayo Hall division, about 80 percent of Gorge Town, 30 percent in Bamrauli etc.
and immediately power consumption by street lights from all cities will be metred, “said SDO, Bamrauli, Pradeep Gupta ,
