Beijing: The city of Wuhan China, where Coronavirus first appeared in 2019 and which is currently undergoing a revival of infection, has tested 11.23 from around 12 million people, the local government said on Saturday.
Wuhan reported six newly confirmed cases and 15 asymptomatic cases.
At the end of Friday, Hubei Province, the capital of Wuhan, reported 47 confirmed Covid-19 cases, including 31 local transmitted cases.
Wuhan has collected more than 11.23 million samples for nucleic acid testing, said the local authorities.
There are also 64 asymptomatic cases under medical observation, the Xinhua news agency managed by the government reported.
The city launched a new testing drive, all-inclusive on August 4.
Results from 10.8 million from samples are available.
Health staff are still checking and confirming, Li who, Deputy Director of the Central Hubei Province for controlling and prevention of disease, told the media on Saturday.
On Friday, the city has placed 157 housing communities under closed loop management, said Xinhua report.
Covid-19 reappeared in the city after the city dealing with the first wave of the Coronavirus case in December 2019.
The Chinese National Health Commission said on Saturday 139 new cases Covid-19 was reported on Friday.
The total number of Covid-19 cases confirmed on the mainland reached 93,605 on Friday, including 1,444 patients still receiving treatment, 39 of them in severe conditions and 4,636 had died as a result of the virus, the Commission said.
