Chennai: Greater Chennai Corporation on Friday received his first nomination for the polls of urban local agencies.
It was filed by independent candidates M Vijaya for posting board members at Ward 158 in Alandur.
Ward is reserved for women (general).
Assistant Revenue Officer (AROS) has been posted in 37 offices throughout the city to receive nominations from 10am to 5pm every day regardless of national holidays.
Officers can be submitted until 5 pm in February 4.
The Civic Agency issues a notification with details of the Environmental Reservations and the Address of Assistant Officer Returns to whom the nominated paper must be submitted.

Of the 200 wards in 15 zones, 84 was impartial, 84 was reserved for women (general), 16 for women (scheduled caste) and 16 for scheduled caste (general).
The DRAVIDIAN AIADMK department and DMK will release a list of their candidates before Monday and the nomination submission will begin after that, the party’s source said.
Some other parties such as Naam Tamizhar Katchi and Kamal Haasan Makkal Maiyyam, who performed well in several constituencies with the second or third place in the assembly election last year, also prepared to release their candidate list in the coming days.
Greater Chennai corporate officials have held several meetings to prepare local agency polls.
The election will be held for the first time after the council’s term of office ended in October 2016.
Since then the corporate commissioner, chairman of the Panchayat City of Municipal Corporation has run the council as a special officer.
